UNITED WANT KROOS IN DE GEA DEAL

Manchester United are set to ask for German midfielder Toni Kroos in any deal for David De Gea, reports claim.

The Red Devils thought they had closed the chapter where Real wanted De Gea, a club where the Spaniard is keen on joining.

Reports in England say United are not happy that Real Madrid have opened discussions with the view of luring the star goalkeeper to the Bernabeu. De Gea could have since joined Madrid but for a clerical error that stalled the deal.

Jose Mourinho now wants Toni Kroos, who he admires, to move to United if Madrid want the De Gea deal to happen this summer. The 2014 World Cup winner could partner Paul Pogba in the middle and help the club build a stronger side. Continue reading UNITED WANT KROOS IN DE GEA DEAL

The Europa League title is Mourinho´s most important trophy

Jose Mourinho has lifted just about every major trophy in the world of football at club level as the Portuguese coach is one of the few managers to have won the UEFA Champions League with different clubs as well as many other significant pieces of silverware including: The Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Coppa Italia and FA Cup just to name a few of his most memorable trophies that Mourinho has added to his collection.

Ryan Giggs Confident Marcus Rashford Will End Goal Drought

Ryan Giggs is confident that striker Marcus Rashford will be able to end his goal drought sooner rather than later.

After coming through the ranks at United last season, Rashford quickly became one of the sensational names in the English Premier League. He burst onto the scene, after being a relative unknown, in the best possible manner after scoring in big games against the likes of Liverpool. The arrival of Mourinho was always going to be an uncertain period for many members in the squad and it has indeed been the case for Rashford.

After having been a striker throughout his youth career, Mourinho has preferred using the 19-year-old as a winger. He has not been able to make much of an impact, while playing on the wings has also significantly impacted his goal record. Rashford has not scored for United since the 4-1 win over Leicester City in the league in September. Continue reading Ryan Giggs Confident Marcus Rashford Will End Goal Drought

There will be changes at Manchester United when Jose Mourinho arrives

With the announcement that Jose Mourinho will be taking charge of Manchester United soon, we should expect plenty of changes happening at Old Trafford on and off the pitch.

Mourinho has a particular way of managing his team, and he is sure going to transform the way Manchester United look at the moment. Fans should be prepared for a busy summer at Old Trafford.

The first thing that he will want to sort out will be his team. Manchester United do need a recognized striker at the moment, and it is highly possible that Jose Mourinho might be going for Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The latter is out of contract after having left Paris Saint-Germain and will be the kind of player that the Portuguese manager like. Indeed, he already managed Ibrahimovic at Inter Milan, and it is highly possible that they might be reunited again.

A decision will also have to be made about Ryan Giggs. The latter has been the assistant of Louis van Gaal, and it is unlikely that he will continue in the same role under Mourinho. He would feel that it was his destiny to take charge of Manchester United after the departure of Van Gaal and now that Mourinho might be taking over, it is tough to find Giggs staying. Louis van Gaal expressed his delight at beating Manchester City

Louis van Gaal expressed his delight at beating Manchester City in a crucial derby last weekend.

Even though United managed only in narrow 1-0 win, it represented three points and a major boost to their aspirations of finishing in the top four. It may still not be enough to save Van Gaal’s job, as the Dutchman is odds-on favourite to get the sack in the summer. However, the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager says that United can build on that performance from now till the end of the season. Marcus Rashford came up with a goal in the 16th minute to give the troubled United manager some respite from the criticism.

United have closed the gap on rivals City to just one point, although they have slipped behind West Ham into the sixth spot. Following the early exit from the Champions League and the aggregate 3-1 loss against Liverpool in the Europa League, Van Gaal was hoping for some good news. Rashford has been an excellent find from the youth academy and the 18-year-old striker has already scored three in four league appearances. Only time will tell if he becomes the next Bobby Charlton or Federico Macheda, who made a similar start only to falter later. One thing is for sure, on his £50,000 a week wages he won’t have to worry about getting a discount card Manchester!? Continue reading Louis van Gaal expressed his delight at beating Manchester City

EVANS IMPRESSES AT WBA

In his short stay at West Bromwich Albion, Jonny Evans has managed to impress his manager with his attitude.

Evans, who is predominantly a centre half, has not shown hesitation in playing out of position whenever he has been asked to do so.

There have been games where he has had to play in the left because of the injuries and unavailability of the players and he has gleefully accepted that role.

Showering plaudits on him yesterday, Tony Pulis, the man in charge of West Brom, said, “Jonny is a fantastic personality. His career at United was a mixed bag. I thought he was a bit hard done by on certain occasions when he did fairly decently and still found himself out of the team. Hopefully, it’s not the case with him here at Hawthorns and he manages to be a lot more successful.”

“Attitude is vital at this level and Jonny is top class in that regard. He is a manager’s delight. You go to him and hand him any responsibility, he would take it for the sake of the team.”

“He was injured and had not trained properly ahead of the match the previous weekend. Still, I asked him to feature in a position which is not his preferred position and he was ready. That tells you something about the character of the man. He has no egos at all, a wonderful man to work alongside. ”

West Bromwich Albion is no. 13 in the Premier League 2015-16 at this point of time. They have secured 5 wins and 5 draws and have collected a total of 20 points.

They have to play their next match against Bournemouth. That match will kick off at 3 PM British Standard Time at Hawthorns the coming Saturday.
