They signed Englishman Andros Townsend from Newcastle earlier this summer after the Magpies were relegated to the English championship. Mourinho is believed would not object to the deal, especially after signing Paul Pogba from Juventus for a world record fee of £89 million. Palace are aware of the increased competition from their rivals in the Premier League, hence their efforts at ensuring they have a tight squad to handle the opposition this season.
